The Daedric Prince of Madness has returned in The Elder Scrolls Online with a new six-part questline titled Sheogorath Takes a Holiday. Released as part of Season 1: Return of the Thieves Guild, the free quest requires a bit of travel across Tamriel before you can officially begin the main tasks.
Quick Overview
- Claim the quest from the Crown Store.
- Travel to the Malabal Tor zone via Grahtwood to meet Noth.
- Proceed to the Stormhaven zone to reach the Shivering Shack and start the quest.
Step 1: Claim the Quest from the Crown Store
To begin the journey, open the in-game Crown Store and look for the Quest Starters menu. Find the “Sheogorath Takes a Holiday” quest at the top of the featured section and purchase it for zero gold. The quest will immediately be added to your journal.
Step 2: Reach the Malabal Tor Zone
Your next objective is to speak with Noth, a devoted follower of Sheogorath located in the Malabal Tor zone.
Go to Grahtwood, which sits just southeast of Malabal Tor on the Tamriel Map. Fast travel to the Elden Root Wayshrine, take the narrow pathway in the northeast corner, and walk west. Keep heading past the Wormroot Depths until you cross the border into Malabal Tor.
Find Noth at the Baandari Trading Post. She will direct you to meet at the Shivering Shack in the Stormhaven zone.
Step 3: Travel to the Stormhaven Zone
Reaching Stormhaven requires traveling through a neighboring zone. You can fast-travel to Glenumbra or Wrothgar and walk to the border.
- From Glenumbra: Fast-travel to the Daggerfall Wayshrine and walk northeast to the Stormhaven border.
- From Wrothgar: Fast-travel to the Merchant’s Gate Wayshrine and walk northwest. This route is slightly shorter, covering about 1.7km to the Shivering Shack.
Once you arrive at the Shivering Shack in Stormhaven, talk to Noth to progress the questline. If you encounter a glitch during the initial ritual where a required tome fails to appear, completely shutting down and restarting the game will fix the issue.
