Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege's next season, Operation Split Fire, will launch globally on September 1, 2026. The update will be available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, following a test server period that began on August 17.
Quick Facts
- Release Date: September 1, 2026
- Platforms: PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation, Xbox
- New Operator: Noor (Egyptian Defender, 2-speed/2-armor)
- Key Features: 3v3 Arcade mode, Villa map rework, and operator balancing
New Operator and Gameplay Changes
The season introduces Noor, a defender equipped with the Horus Lance Launcher. His gadget fires flame charges that attach to shields, walls, and floors, creating denial zones that last approximately 10 seconds per ammo. Noor carries the Commando-9 or Alda 5.56 as primary weapons, with the 1911 TACOPS or Bailiff 410 as secondary options.
Operation Split Fire also updates the Villa map, shifting the Living Room/Library bomb site to the basement and introducing a reworked basement layout with new rotations and interior spaces. These changes are part of a broader initiative to modernize several maps, including Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo, House, and the Shooting Range.
Limited-Time 3v3 Arcade Mode
Players can access a new 3v3 Arcade mode from September 8 to September 21. Matches follow a first-to-four round format with a maximum of seven rounds. The mode features a shortened 30-second prep phase and a restriction where operators cannot be reused once they have won a round in a match.
Operator and Weapon Balancing
Several operators are receiving adjustments to refine the current meta:
- Kali: Scope magnification reduced to 3.5x and 8x; increased shot cadence and ammo.
- Dokkaebi: Replaces EMP Grenades with Breach Charges; Jegeo Payload is now interruptible by Mute Jammers.
- Lion: Decreased scan warning time for the EE-ONE-D.
- Echo: Faster recharge rate for Yokai Drone sonic bursts.
- Kapkan: Increased damage for Entry Denial Devices.
Weapon-specific adjustments are also being applied to the AR-15.50, MK 14 EBR, and SMG-12 to address damage, recoil, and ammo capacity.
