The beta provides a significant slice of the full roster, featuring 15 of the 20 characters planned for the game's August 6 launch. Notably, this test marks the first time Blade is playable.
The full list of available fighters includes:
- Fighting Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther

Modes and Features
Beyond standard online encounters, this beta introduces players to the game's Episode Mode. Participants can play through the first three chapters of the "Amazing Guardians" storyline, which uses motion-comic storytelling to bridge the gap between battles.
For those interested in competitive or social play, the following modes will be active:
- Casual and Ranked Matches: Quick matchmaking for similar skill levels or a climb up the competitive ladder.
- Versus Mode: Local play against friends or CPU opponents.
- Open Lobby: A social hub featuring miniature versions of stages, 16 customizable avatars, and arcade cabinets for challenging others.
- Training and Tutorials: A "Start Up Battle" tutorial for learning core four-versus-four mechanics, plus a robust Training Mode for combo practice.
The open beta will also showcase the game's full localization options, including voice-over and text support in several languages, such as United States English, French, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, among others.
According to the developers, the build reflects ongoing refinements made since last year’s closed betas, with specific adjustments to gameplay mechanics and accessibility based on community feedback.
