If you are looking for one of the best early-game mounts in Palworld 1.0, look no further than Chillet. This Ice/Dragon-type Pal is an exceptional choice because it handles travel on both land and water, meaning you won't need to swap mounts constantly while exploring.

How to Find Alpha Chillet

The easiest way to obtain this Pal is by challenging the Level 11 Field Alpha Boss. You can find it directly south of the Fort Ruins fast travel point. Open your map and look for its icon at coordinates 172, -417.

Defeating this Alpha version for the first time rewards you with:

  • 1 Ancient Technology Point
  • Ancient Civilization Parts
  • Chillet Bounty Token
  • +1280 EXP
  • Standard drops like Leather and Precious Pelt

Strategies for the Fight

Chillet's Ice/Dragon typing makes it highly vulnerable to Fire-type attacks. To take it down efficiently, bring a Foxparks as your primary combat Pal. If you craft the Foxparks Harness at the Pal Gear Workbench, you can use the Huggy Fire Partner Skill to turn your Pal into a portable flamethrower, which will drain Chillet's health quickly.

While your Foxparks uses its partner skill, maintain your distance and use a bow to avoid taking damage from Chillet's Ice- and Dragon-type moves. Once its health is in the red, swap to a Mega Sphere for a high-probability capture.

Mounting and Stats

Once you have your new Pal, you will want to ride it. The Chillet Saddle becomes available in the Technology tab at Level 11 and costs 2 Ancient Technology Points. To craft it at your Pal Gear Workbench, you will need the following materials:

  • Leather x10
  • Fiber x20
  • Cloth x5
  • Paldium Fragment x20

Beyond its utility as a mount, Chillet features the Wriggling Weasel Partner Skill. When mounted, this skill changes your attack type to Dragon and grants a 5% increase to your Attack stat, making it a solid companion for both travel and combat.
