Capcom has announced fresh content for Street Fighter 6, headlined by the arrival of a new DLC fighter and a limited-time crossover event. Players can expect to see these updates roll out across all platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
New DLC Fighter and Event Schedule
The new playable character, Yasmine, will officially join the roster on August 3, 2026. Following her release, Capcom will host the Way of the Oni x Way of the Fist event from August 7 through August 31, 2026. During this window, logging into the game will grant players exclusive rewards, including:
- Special character colors
- Challenger screen illustrations
- Unique titles
- Themed avatar gear
The online Battle Hub will also receive a visual makeover to match the event's theme. Additionally, players can participate in a "Street Voter" activity to earn Genma stickers and camera frames.
Street Fighter Live-Action Movie Update
The announcement coincides with a new "special look" at the upcoming Street Fighter live-action film from Paramount and Legendary. The footage showcases a fight between Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Blanka, portrayed by Jason Momoa. The film also features cameos from prominent fighting game community figures, including Justin Wong, Yipes, and content creator Maximillian Dood. The movie is currently slated for a theatrical release on October 14, 2026.
