What Happens in the Ganymede Mission?
In the showcased mission, the Captain and their twin sibling, J, attempt to recover data stolen from them on Pinkwater station. Operating undercover, they speak with employees and try to reach the facility's storage area without drawing attention while their crew provides remote technical assistance. An unexpected third party interrupts the operation by releasing a bioengineered creature inside the base, forcing the protagonists to fight their way out.
Ganymede serves as a major location from The Expanse universe, with Protogen playing a central role in the protomolecule experiments tied to the books and TV series. Osiris Reborn tells an original story within that timeline, starting with the player as a Pinkwater Security mercenary caught in the Eros disaster before taking command of the Gemini and assembling a crew.
Character Choices and Mechanics
Originally revealed in June 2025, the third-person RPG allows players to customize their protagonist as an Earther, Martian, or Belter. Dialogue choices affect relationships and quest outcomes, while companions can open distinct options during missions. Players typically bring two crew members into the field while characters remaining on the Gemini assist remotely through the Exploits mechanic, depending on their individual abilities.
