  • PC Model Polling Rate: 8,000Hz
  • Xbox Model Polling Rate: 1,000Hz (also compatible with PC)
  • Connectivity: Wired-only for both models
  • Key Features: Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR sticks, six-axis gyro, and clicky microswitch buttons

Controller Specifications and Features

The new Tarantula PC model is designed for competitive play, featuring a lightweight 180g build and 0.25ms latency. It utilizes Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) sticks, a technology the manufacturer has integrated across its recent controller updates. The face buttons, D-pad, and trigger stops are equipped with microswitches rated for up to 5 million clicks.

Both the PC and Xbox versions include two back buttons and two additional shoulder paddles for custom mapping. While the PC model is available in a vibrant orange colorway and a special MenaRD edition, the Xbox-licensed version is also now on the market.

Upcoming Hardware Updates

GameSir has confirmed that an "Ultra" model is currently in development. This version will feature a heavier design due to the inclusion of vibration motors, though there is no confirmed release date yet. Additionally, while the controllers are currently exclusive to the GameSir storefront, broader retail availability at major outlets like Amazon is expected within the next two months.
