Sega has shared a new gameplay trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour, giving players a closer look at the game's West Coast map ahead of its 2027 release window. Following last month's announcement trailer, the latest footage demonstrates chaotic urban driving featuring activities like demolishing sand castles, completing pizza deliveries, and launching muscle men into the ocean.

West Coast Map and Real-Life Storefronts
The newly highlighted West Coast map continues the arcade franchise's tradition of featuring real-life brands and establishments. Sega confirmed that iconic retailers such as IHOP and Amoeba Music will appear as destinations and storefronts. Additional brand partnerships and locations will be revealed alongside future World Tour maps leading up to the game's launch.
While the full version of Crazy Taxi: World Tour will include single-player and story modes, Sega is currently preparing to test the game's online infrastructure.
Multiplayer Closed Network Test Details
A Multiplayer Closed Network Test will run from September 11th through September 13th, 2026, focusing specifically on online stability and cross-play features. Sign-ups are available on the official Sega website until August 31, 2026. Note that this test will not be accessible on Nintendo Switch 2.
Participants in the network test will be able to choose from 4 characters and 6 cars with tune-up options across 2 maps. Two distinct online modes will be featured via Ranked Match or Custom Match:
- Pickup Race: Up to 6 players compete to drop off passengers and earn the highest amount of crazy money within a set time limit.
- Cops 'N' Cabbies: Two teams of 3 players compete against each other in custom lobbies with adjustable rules.
