FromSoftware's action RPG makes its debut on Nintendo platforms via the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition while players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S can access the same new content through the separate Tarnished Pack DLC. Existing save files on PC and consoles require an update to version 1.17 or higher. Below are the steps and locations to track down the newly added weapons, armour sets, NPC invasion drops, and spectral steed customisation options.

New Class Armour Sets and Weapons

Players can start with the new Idus Knight and Heavy Knight classes or find their gear out in the open world:

  • Idus Knight's Silver Grooved Armour Set & Weapon: Purchase the Silver Grooved Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, Greaves, and Shield from the Nomadic Merchant just north of Bellum Church in Liurnia of the Lakes. The Idus Sword rests near a tree and ruins northwest of the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace.
  • Heavy Knight's Steel Armour Set & Weapon: Buy the Steel Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, and Greaves from the Isolated Merchant's Shack in the Weeping Peninsula. The Hefty Scimitar is sold by a Nomadic Merchant located north of Fort Haight West in southern Limgrave.

Additional World Weapons

Three standalone weapons are hidden across regional map locations:

  • Reed Great Katana: Scale the tall, grey mound just north of Fort Faroth in Caelid using Torrent to find a corpse on the north side holding the weapon.
  • Reverse-Bladed Sword: Purchased directly from the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold from the start of the game.
  • Ritual Thrusting Sword: Located inside the Caelid Colosseum in north Caelid. Access requires taking the underground Siofra River lift located north of the Worshippers' Woods Site of Grace.

NPC Invasions and Rewards

Two mid- to late-game NPC invasions reward unique equipment upon defeat:

  • Knight Leontiel: Travel directly north from the Wailing Dunes (the site of the Starscourge Radahn fight) in Caelid to trigger the invasion. Defeating Leontiel awards Leontiel's Greatsword and the Leontiel's Hat, Armor, Leather Gloves, and Boots.
  • Broken Gold Mask: Cast the Law of Regression spell in front of the Radagon statue in Leyndell, Royal Capital (as part of the Brother Corhyn and Goldmask questline) to trigger the invasion. Defeating the invader grants the Golden Order Flail, Broken Gold Mask, Gold Tattoo (Chest), Gold Tattoo (Arm), and Gold Tattoo (Leg). Note: This will not work if Leyndell has shifted to the Ashen Capital or if you already cast the spell at this statue previously.

Spectral Steed Attire (Horse Armour) Locations

Once you acquire your first piece of spectral steed attire, you can customise Torrent's appearance at any Site of Grace:

  • Spectral Steed Regalia: Tree Sentinel: Located inside Stormveil Castle. Head to the Godrick the Grafted Site of Grace, proceed toward the throne room, take a right, then a left to find a chest.
  • Spectral Steed Regalia: Carian Silver: Located behind the desk in the same room as the Ranni's Rise Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes.
  • Spectral Steed Regalia: Funereal Night: Found in Altus Plateau along the clifftop next to the southernmost blade among the swords in the ground, south-west of the Hermit Merchant's Shack and Outer Wall Battleground Sites of Grace.
