How Sega Uses the FirstLook Platform
Acquired by backend services firm Pragma, FirstLook originated as a way to connect game studios with players for early-stage playtesting. It has since evolved into a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that allows studios to maintain engagement with participants, follow up with feedback surveys, and pitch final game releases or future playtests. For Sega, the integration brings player relationships, playtesting, and structured development feedback into a single pipeline throughout a title's lifecycle.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour Multiplayer Closed Network Test
The partnership officially extends to upcoming titles such as Crazy Taxi: World Tour. Signups for the game's Multiplayer Closed Network Test open on July 28, 2026. Playtesting will take place via player.gg, giving participants early access to experience the game before its full release in 2027 while providing developers with direct feedback to aid bug fixes and quality improvements.
FirstLook CEO Eden Chen noted in a statement that studios succeeding in the current video games industry listen to their players early and consistently. The collaboration follows player.gg's recent appearance as an official player destination at Summer Game Fest in early June, where the consumer-facing hub drew more than 100,000 player registrations.
