Mike Klubnika, the developer behind the 2023 hit Buckshot Roulette, has unveiled his latest project, Machine Party. The game is currently scheduled for a 2026 release on PC.
Gameplay and Mechanics
Machine Party is built around a series of over a dozen "Squid Game-style" trials designed for up to four players. The gameplay focuses on survival through unconventional and often lethal scenarios, ranging from navigating narrow, mine-filled paths to participating in high-stakes cigarette smoking competitions.
While some trials allow players to escape together, the majority of the game pits participants against one another in competitive gauntlets, such as racing to build weapons or staying atop an out-of-control escalator. The game continues the developer's established style of body horror, featuring hazards like malicious drones and robotic spiders performing unlicensed medical procedures.
