Developer Aerial_Knight has officially announced Aerial_Knight’s MrFreezy, a new, light-hearted puzzle game headed to PC. The title puts players in the shoes of a mysterious woman who works as an axe-wielding serial killer, tasked with preparing victims in a grisly, horror-inspired setting.

The Mechanics of MrFreezy
The core gameplay loop centers on managing a collection of heads in a basement workshop. Players must move and swap heads to line them up perfectly for a single, clean slice. The game emphasizes efficiency, as players must decide whether to cash out early for a smaller score or risk additional turns to build longer, more complex chains.
As the game progresses, the puzzles increase in difficulty through the introduction of unique head types that alter how the board functions:
- Pumpkin Heads: These will explode if not collected within a certain time limit.
- Stone Heads: These are immobile and cannot be moved by the player.
- Old Heads: These possess the ability to move on their own.
- Default Heads: These trigger a change in the position of surrounding heads when moved.
A Darker Turn for the Developer
Set in a city called New Detroit, the story follows authorities hunting for a killer known as “Mr. Freezy,” named for the hundreds of severed heads discovered in freezers throughout the city. While the game features a mechanical, arcade-style approach to score-chasing, the developer notes that it leans into darker themes than previous projects.
"This game is definitely darker than my past games. It’s still built around a really fun and satisfying gameplay loop first, just with creepy vibes layered on top," the developer stated on the game's Steam page.
Beyond the primary puzzle mechanics, the game promises to reveal more about the protagonist and the mystery behind the murders as players dive deeper into the experience. No release date has been set, but the game is currently listed on Steam for those looking to keep track of development updates.
