Crux Games, the two-person development team of Skye Scott and Sam Alfred, has announced that Combolands: Roguelike Citybuilder will officially launch on Steam on August 24, 2026. Players interested in the title can currently access a demo on the store page to test the mechanics ahead of the full release.

Gameplay Features
Combolands combines deckbuilding and citybuilding mechanics into 30-minute sessions. The objective is to place buildings and manage synergies to trigger cascades of combos as you grow a small metropolis. The game features seven unlockable guilds, over 120 buildings, and more than 100 passive heirlooms.
Additional progression elements include 13 city councillors that provide unique abilities, alongside 10 increasingly difficult ranks to challenge players. Buildings can also be upgraded to alter their behavior during a run.
