Publisher Wales Interactive and developer Peacebreak Studio have announced Beaten Path, a new turn-based tactical RPG set to launch in 2027. The game is confirmed for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Gameplay and Setting
Set in a world ruled by fallen gods and ancient machines, Beaten Path follows Panna and her companions as they confront lost memories, mythic powers, and a looping fate. Combat centers on turn-based, grid-based tactical encounters inspired by titles like Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem, requiring careful positioning, unit synergy, and terrain exploitation.
The overworld features shifting weather, strange landmarks, and narrative events across various locations such as sunken temples and storm-lashed shores. Character progression utilizes a flexible job system, dual-class loadouts, unlockable outfits, and equippable skills.
Story and Cast
The narrative centers on a time-loop mystery as Panna retraces her steps to uncover clues about a forgotten war and her role in it. The game features 25 fully voiced characters, each with distinct 2D character art and 3D models.
