Developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 Bit Studios have announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will leave early access and launch its 1.0 version on September 2, 2026. Ahead of the official release date, the developers are offering a limited-time giveaway of the first game on Steam.

What's New in the 1.0 Launch
Following its early access run that began in the fall of 2025, the isometric 3D sequel is expanding its platform reach. While the early access version was restricted to Windows PC and Xbox Series X, the 1.0 launch will also land on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The full release introduces the conclusion to the game's story, alongside new weapons, new armor, and the Bomb path ability, which causes defeated enemies to explode. Players step back into the role of shopkeeper Will, balancing dungeon-delving combat in search of valuable items with running a storefront.

Players looking to try the game before the countdown to launch can download a demo of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault across all platforms right now. Alongside the release date reveal, 11 Bit Studios has also made the original 2018 pixel-art Moonlighter temporarily free on Steam.
