Minecraft speedrunner Skycrab has officially claimed the random seed world record in Minecraft, finishing with a time of 6:39.813. The achievement arrives exactly one year after a devastating last-second death cost him a historic run.

Overcoming a Historic Defeat
The July 27 run marks the end of a three-year grind for Skycrab, making up for a painful near-miss in June 2025. During that attempt, Skycrab reached the End on a historic pace, defeating the Ender Dragon at 5:59 in a run projected to finish at approximately 6:17 — more than 40 seconds faster than the existing world record at the time.
However, with only half a heart remaining, an Enderman teleported behind Skycrab and killed him just before he could drop through the exit portal to stop the timer. Because the game was never officially completed, the run did not count.
A year later, Skycrab successfully reached the portal without interference, securing the top spot on the leaderboard and beating lowkey’s previous record of 6:50.359 by over 10.5 seconds.
Current Leaderboard Status
Skycrab’s 6:39.813 submission is currently marked as pending on Speedrun.com. Lowkey’s previous time remains in the first-place position on the leaderboard until moderators complete the verification process.
