What to Expect from the World of Warcraft Crossover

Announced at Gen Con, the upcoming World of Warcraft book lets players step into the world of Azeroth. The crossover allows players to select any of the 13 WoW classes alongside new subclasses. It also introduces new species—including Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, and Haranir—plus monsters, spells, and seven iconic WoW dungeons featuring recognizable boss encounters.

Upcoming D&D Books and Classic Setting Returns

Alongside the brand-new franchise partnerships, Wizards of the Coast confirmed several other books and setting revivals headed to tables through 2027. The Dark Sun setting returns with the Blood and Power gameplay expansion and the Edge of Oblivion adventure expansion. Meanwhile, the Greyhawk setting makes a comeback with the Crown of the Witch Queen adventure book alongside contributions from Luke Gygax.

Classic creators and characters are also returning to the publishing lineup. Dragonlance is returning with co-creator Tracy Hickman, and R.A. Salvatore is penning a new story featuring Drizzt Do’Urden. On the digital front, D&D Beyond is rolling out a mobile app update with new tools alongside a Looking for Group feature.
