Sucker Punch Productions has announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, a new package for PlayStation 5 arriving on October 1, 2026. The release introduces a major narrative expansion and a new single-player combat mode.

New Story and Survival Content
The centerpiece of the update is Echoes of Sekigahara, a story expansion that explores Atsu’s past. The narrative shifts between present-day Ezo and historical flashbacks centered on the Battle of Sekigahara. Players will encounter a new character named Nagato and explore a previously unseen valley. The expansion also adds new enemy types, weapons, and armor dyes.
Alongside the story content, the update introduces Most Wanted, a standalone, roguelike-inspired combat survival mode. Players accept high-risk bounties to earn gameplay perks and unlock additional playable characters, including Nagato and Oyuki, each featuring distinct weapon specialties like the kusarigama or yari spear.
Pre-order and Patch Details
Players who pre-order or purchase the upgrade before September 30 will receive an early unlock for the iconic Sakai Armor from Ghost of Tsushima. Additionally, a free game patch launching on October 1 will introduce a transmog feature, allowing players to apply the appearance of one armor set to the stats of another.
