Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Code Vein II Mask of Idris DLC will launch on September 9, 2026. The expansion will be available across all platforms where the base game is currently released: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: September 9, 2026
  • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X
  • Included Content: New side-story, two partners (Liv Voda and Lou Magmell), new weapons, and new Formae.
  • Additional Updates: A free update for all players will launch alongside the DLC to enhance the gameplay experience.

The Forsaken World

The Mask of Idris expansion introduces a narrative separate from the main campaign. Players will venture into "The Forsaken World," a location formed by Temporal Rifts—pockets of alternate history left behind by the hero Idris. The story centers on the Spindle of Pathos, a force drawing in emotions from across space and time that now threatens the world.

New Gameplay Additions

The DLC introduces two new partners to the roster:

  • Liv Voda: An aggressive, halberd-wielding guardian who specializes in staggering enemies and boosting attack power through her support Formae, Mad Blood Dance.
  • Lou Magmell: A character from a separate reality who joins the protagonist to help halt the expansion of the Forsaken World.

Combat options are expanded with new gear, including the Grave Knocker, a martial arts Formae that creates area-of-effect shockwaves, and the Sword of Karma, a great sword capable of unleashing fire-based combos.

While the DLC adds these features, players should note that access to the new content requires specific conditions to be met within the base game. Official requirements are available through Bandai Namco’s channels.
