Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Kenny Sun have announced that BALL x PIT has surpassed two million copies sold worldwide. Alongside this sales milestone, the teams released the final free post-launch addition for the brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite.

What is in the Naturalist Update?
Referred to as the final free update for the game, the Naturalist patch introduces new mechanics and two distinct playable characters:
- The Ballbearer: Cannot carry passive items at all, but features double the usual number of ball slots.
- The Hoary Hoarder: Can carry significantly more passive items, but is restricted to only two balls.
In addition to the new characters, the update adds 11 new ball types and five new passives to the game's core loop.

While the Naturalist update concludes the scheduled run of free post-launch content for BALL x PIT, Devolver Digital has teased that further news regarding the franchise remains on the horizon. Exact details on what future support or projects might entail have not yet been disclosed.
