Sales Performance Update

Square Enix has confirmed that sales for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have outperformed internal expectations. According to trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi, the surge in interest is directly tied to the announcement of the third entry in the series, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, at Summer Game Fest 2026.

While specific unit numbers remain undisclosed due to company investor relations policies, Hamaguchi noted that the sales performance is "several times better" than the team had projected. The director observed a historical trend where public interest in the trilogy consistently drives engagement with earlier entries; specifically, the announcement of Rebirth previously bolstered Remake sales, and the recent Revelation reveal has now generated a similar effect for both existing games.
