Adventurers, the final chapter of Kuldra’s Saga is nearly here. The developers behind RuneScape: Dragonwilds have confirmed that the 0.12.1 update is set to launch on September 15, 2026, bringing the long-awaited Scorned Wilderness raid to PC.

This update serves as the climactic showdown against the God-Eater. Unlike previous content drops that focused on expanding the world with new continents, resources, and lore, the team describes the Scorned Wilderness as the culmination of their work since the game’s April 2025 launch. It represents a high-end combat challenge designed to push players—or groups of allies—to their absolute limits.

The God-Eater Raid

Drawing inspiration from iconic RuneScape raiding experiences, this challenge tasks players with navigating a landscape torn apart by wild anima and the fury of Black Dragons. You will traverse floating islands while battling the God-Eater herself. According to the developers, the boss utilizes multiple heads to channel the elemental power of Gielinor’s dragons, featuring mechanics that will be familiar to those who have hunted dragons on the mainland, though she is described as being far more dangerous than previous experiments.

The team has stated that they will not be spoiling the specifics of the raid’s mechanics, preferring for players to experience the gauntlet for the first time upon release. In the lead-up to September 15, they plan to release a full breakdown of Agility mechanics and a detailed developer diary covering the remaining features of the 0.12.1 patch.

New Gear and Rewards

Slaying the God-Eater won't just be about bragging rights. The update introduces a suite of high-tier equipment, including:

  • Ancestral Robes
  • Black Dragonhide gear
  • New Rune Armour sets
  • The latest version of the Dragon Shield
  • A unique Cape
  • Iconic red Dragon equipment, including the Dragon Crossbow and Dragon Scimitar

Beyond these confirmed drops, the developers hinted at additional secret rewards hidden within the Rare Drop Table (RDT) for the most fortunate dragon slayers. This gear is intended to provide players with the protection needed to navigate the Ashenfall region more securely once the raid is conquered.

While the Scorned Wilderness marks a major milestone in the current saga, the team emphasized that this is not the end of the journey for RuneScape: Dragonwilds. They remain committed to delivering future updates and plan to share more about their post-raid roadmap shortly after the September launch.
