What's Included in Dawn of the Machine
Titled Dawn of the Machine, the new 19-level episode comes from MachineGames, a studio known for its work on the rebooted Wolfenstein games and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The studio previously collaborated with id Software and Nightdive Studios on new episodes for the Quake remaster.
The new chapter builds on the core of the 30-year-old game while introducing fresh enemy types and weapons like the super axe and laser cannon. The episode is designed for replayability, allowing players to collect runes to unlock new paths on subsequent playthroughs while keeping previously acquired health and ammo upgrades.
Alongside the campaign additions, the update includes a vault featuring behind-the-scenes assets from the game's development, new achievements, and a cheats menu. For multiplayer players, the patch also introduces a single new deathmatch map.
