Preservation Strategy
33 Games Creative Strategy Lead Daley Eve stated that the inclusion of the SNES Mouse was a priority for the project, noting the studio's interest in titles that utilized unique peripherals. The release effort involved collaboration with the game's original cover artist, Danny Flynn, who provided new art for the project.
Marc Williamson, founder of Umbra Dynamics, which assisted in the IP revival, described the project as an effort to ensure the game remains accessible. "Every classic we bring back is another opportunity for players to discover, rediscover and celebrate the games that helped shape our industry," Williamson said.
While 33 Games has confirmed the contents and shipping window, specific production details regarding the restoration of the game's code or potential regional compatibility limitations beyond the NTSC/PAL cartridge designation have not been disclosed.
