Owners of the 2021 remaster of Quake can download a brand-new 19-level campaign right now at no extra cost. Announced at QuakeCon by id Software and MachineGames, the update celebrates the classic FPS franchise's 30th anniversary with a fresh chapter titled Dawn of the Machine.

What's Included in Dawn of the Machine
In the new campaign, protagonist Ranger finds himself trapped in a time loop. Players must solve puzzles, battle new enemies, and utilize new weapons to survive. The update also introduces a fresh soundtrack, achievements, and new deathmatch maps.
MachineGames built high replayability into the 19 levels by centering the narrative around a time loop. Replaying levels unlocks new paths, reveals hidden secrets, and provides upgrades that make Ranger stronger over time.
