Valve has released a new update for the Proton Experimental compatibility layer, bringing targeted fixes for several popular titles on Linux and SteamOS. This update, following the recent release of Proton 11.0-2, focuses on resolving specific controller and window management issues that have impacted players.
Resolved Issues
The latest version of Proton Experimental addresses the following game-specific problems:
- Dragon Age: Inquisition: Fixed an issue where controllers were not functioning correctly.
- Far Cry: Resolved an issue where the game would become uninteractible after switching to a different application and returning on SteamOS.
- Warhammer: Vermintide 2: Fixed a bug where the title bar would display while in fullscreen mode with certain window managers.
- Mugsters: The taskbar no longer displays over the game window when using certain window managers.
- FLY'N: The game now launches in fullscreen mode properly.
- Surviving Deponia Playtest: The game is confirmed as playable again following a regression in Proton 11.
Additionally, One Shot: Fading Memory and Impulse Response are now officially marked as playable.
