8BitDo noted that Ultimate Software Online is an early beta with UI elements and features still undergoing optimization. While it aims to bridge the gap for Linux setups, the company recommends that Windows and macOS users continue using the standard desktop application, which provides a complete feature set across a full range of products.
App Longevity and Product Support
The company confirmed that Ultimate Software Online will not replace the desktop app. Both tools will remain available to suit different user preferences. Product support within the browser utility will expand over time, though 8BitDo notes that some older hardware models may not be supported.
