Kinetic Games, the developer behind the horror hit Phasmophobia, has formally launched its own publishing label, Kinetic Publishing. The studio held its first showcase in August 2026, revealing a lineup of five indie projects currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and Switch 2.

2027 Release Slate

The publisher's initial releases are slated for 2027, beginning with Contact Protocol. This starship job simulator focuses on threat assessment and crew management in a dystopian sci-fi setting. It is scheduled for a Spring 2027 release.

Following in Summer 2027, Crescent Country will launch on PC and Xbox Series S|X. Developed by Electric Saint, this cozy sci-fi fantasy adventure centers on a young witch performing deliveries via a hoverbike, with a primary focus on character relationships.

2028 Release Slate

Three additional titles are scheduled for 2028, all targeting a wide release on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC:

  • Spellbound (Summer 2028): A 2D Metroidvania set on a giant snail, featuring mechanics that allow players to take over enemies.
  • Aether Wizard Life (August 2028): An RPG-influenced title featuring town building and relationship mechanics, with an art style inspired by Studio Ghibli.
  • Precognition (Spring 2028): A sci-fi horror thriller utilizing live-action footage. This project features a collaboration between director Brandon Cronenberg and game designer Sam Barlow, known for his work on the Silent Hill series.

While Kinetic Games continues to provide updates for Phasmophobia on PC, the studio has not provided a new roadmap or release window for console versions of that title. The current focus for the publisher remains on the development and release of this newly announced indie lineup.
