Epic Games has put its high-profile legal battle to rest after reaching a settlement with former contractor Hayden Cohen. The case, which began in March 2026, centered on allegations that Cohen breached non-disclosure agreements regarding upcoming Fortnite content.

Court filings reported by Game File indicate that both sides have agreed to a proposed settlement. Under the terms, Cohen is permanently banned from accessing, using, or sharing Epic Games' trade secrets and confidential information. The agreement also prohibits him from assisting others in leaking Fortnite-related material. A judge must still grant final approval for the settlement to take effect.

From Associate Producer to 'AdiraFNInfo'

Epic Games accused Cohen—who worked as an associate producer on Fortnite—of operating under the alias 'AdiraFNInfo' to leak unreleased content. According to the company, Cohen signed documentation in September 2025 that strictly forbade the disclosure of unannounced game aspects, including skins and in-game events.

The developer claimed that Cohen leaked dozens of collaborations before they were officially revealed, including:

  • Minecraft
  • South Park
  • Overwatch
  • Game of Thrones
  • Kingdom Hearts
  • Solo Leveling
  • Peak

Epic noted that the South Park crossover was leaked just two days before its official announcement. The company argued that these actions damaged its partner relationships, diminished player excitement, and forced the studio to invest significant time and money into investigations. While Epic originally sought financial damages, the current settlement does not include any public payment, and the company has stated it has nothing further to share regarding compensation.

The Future of Fortnite Leaks

Following the discovery of his activities, Cohen’s access to internal systems was revoked, and he was issued a cease-and-desist letter. Despite this, Epic alleged that he continued to violate his obligations. Natalie Munoz, a spokesperson for Epic Games, told Game File that the company has asked the court to approve the stipulated injunction to ensure that confidential information cannot be shared again.

The impact of these leaks remains a point of speculation. Some content teased by Cohen, such as the Kingdom Hearts collaboration, has yet to materialize in Fortnite, leading to questions about whether these leaks caused Epic to cancel or delay specific projects. For now, high-profile scoopers like 'ShiinaBR' and 'HYPEX' remain active in the community, and it is unclear how the resolution of this case will influence the broader landscape of Fortnite leaks.
