Gameplay and Features
Blood Dungeon focuses on rapid movement and auto-firing combat. Players navigate environments filled with ladders, chains, and walls while dodging enemies. The game features over 100 enemy types, some of which interact with walls by sticking, walking, or flying across them.
Progression is tied to collecting blood from defeated foes, which allows players to acquire new skills. Additionally, the game includes a "Dogmancer" mechanic where players can trade bones for permanent upgrades. Players can choose from nine different characters, each equipped with unique movement perks and weapon types, such as the wall-climbing Leggy or the flying character Bug.
Technical Support and Future Updates
While the game is Steam Deck Verified, it does not currently offer a native Linux build. Players on Linux and Steam Deck will run the Windows version through Proton. Messhof has indicated that more content and team-ups are planned for the future, though no specific dates or details regarding these updates have been provided.
