Developer Yanako RPGs has made the monster-taming title Dokimon Quest free to claim on Steam. Players who add the game to their library before the deadline tomorrow will keep the title permanently.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC (Steam)
- Price: Free (previously paid)
- Deadline: Offer expires tomorrow
- New Features: Creature trading, code-based PvP battles, and a new tutorial system
The promotion follows a significant update to the game, which introduces highly requested features including creature trading and competitive battling through a code system. According to the developer, these online functions are exclusive to the PC version of the game and will not be coming to console ports due to development and funding requirements.
In addition to the online features, the update includes a tutorial fairy designed to assist with complex mechanics, a completely overhauled quest log, and new background art for specific biomes.
The surge in interest coincides with the reveal of Dokimon Quest II, which recently appeared on Steam. The sequel is set in Edo-period Japan and promises new gameplay elements including mounts, dungeon exploration, and a custom furniture-crafting system for in-game housing.
Over one million users have already claimed Dokimon Quest during this promotion, pushing the title to a new concurrent player peak on Steam.
