Nintendo's latest eShop update brings two major RPG titles to the platform, alongside a fresh batch of retro classics for Nintendo Switch Online members. Whether you are looking for turn-based monster evolution or action-packed island exploration, this week’s lineup has something to offer.

New RPG Arrivals

Digimon Story Time Stranger has officially arrived on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Following its initial release on other consoles last year, this strategic, turn-based title tasks players with saving both the human and Digital worlds from ruin. The game features over 450 Digimon with non-linear evolution paths. Those playing on Switch 2 have the added benefit of choosing their preferred graphics mode, and a demo is currently available for those who want to test the action before purchasing.

Also hitting the eShop is Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. This action RPG takes place in the Sky Realm, where players explore floating islands and battle powerful foes with a roster of over 20 playable characters. The title supports up to four players for local or online multiplayer sessions.

Nintendo Switch Online Retro Additions

The classics library has expanded with four new titles:

  • Fortified Zone (Game Boy): A 1991 action shooter where players alternate between two secret agents, Masato Kanzaki and Mizuki Makimura, to infiltrate a secret fortress.
  • Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy): Wario’s debut solo adventure, focusing on treasure hunting and platforming with unique power-ups like the Bull, Jet, and Dragon Pots.
  • The Sword of Hope II (Game Boy): A 1996 role-playing game that uses a command-based system to solve puzzles and uncover the mystery threatening the kingdom of Riccar.
  • Dr. Mario & Puzzle League (GBA): A two-in-one puzzle collection originally released in 2005, now available for Expansion Pack members.

Additional Updates and Events

Pre-orders are now live for Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, which launches on July 15 for both Switch and Switch 2. Additionally, Donkey Kong Bananza is hosting the "Elephant Bananza Stampede" DLC event from July 14 to July 21, and a new Splatoon 3 collaboration Splatfest themed around Splatoon Raiders is scheduled to run from July 10 to July 12.

Nintendo has also added new music playlists from the Mario Kart World game to the Nintendo Music service, featuring tracks from Super Mario World, Super Mario Land, and Wario Land. Fans of the Star Fox series can also enter the My Nintendo Star Fox Fan Bundle Sweepstakes, which is open now for a chance to win branded merchandise.
