The sequel builds on the foundation of the original game, focusing on the Canadian wilderness of New Laurentia. Players are tasked with managing wildlife habitats and completing challenges while working with a cast of NPCs. The developer notes that the transition out of Early Access comes after extensive player feedback and iteration on the game's core systems.

Key features arriving with the full release include a specialized hunting dog companion that assists in tracking blood trails and animal signs, as well as an improved bullet camera for analyzing shot placement. Players will manage their progress through a central Hunting Lodge, which serves as a hub for showcasing trophies and upgrading equipment from various real-world brand partners.

While the game has been playable in its Early Access state, this full launch marks the official introduction of the title to console players. Pre-orders for the full version are currently open across all supported platforms.
