Two French streamers involved in broadcasts featuring Jean Pormanove have received suspended prison sentences from the Nice Criminal Court, sparing them from serving time behind bars unless they reoffend.
Owen Cenazandotti, known online as Naruto, and Safine Hamadi faced legal action following thousands of hours of broadcasts streamed on Twitch and later Kick between 2023 and 2025. Pormanove, whose legal name was Raphaël Graven, appeared alongside Stéphane G., known as Coudoux, in streams where participants were subjected to physical abuse, insults, and projectiles.
Court Penalties and Digital Bans
The verdict, delivered on August 5, handed the 27-year-old Naruto a two-year suspended prison sentence alongside a €15,000 fine (approximately $17,400). Safine, 24, received an 18-month suspended sentence and a €5,000 fine (roughly $5,800).
In addition to the suspended sentences and financial penalties, both individuals received six-month digital bans. These restrictions prevent them from publishing content on online platforms during that period.
Prosecutors had previously sought tougher punishments, including a sentence served at home under electronic monitoring for Naruto, but the court ultimately issued suspended terms. Because the sentences are suspended, neither streamer goes to prison unless the conditions of the ruling are breached.
Trial Focus and Broader Investigations
The legal proceedings centered specifically on the acts of mistreatment broadcast during the streams rather than Pormanove's death. Pormanove passed away at age 46 on August 18, 2025, during a marathon Kick broadcast. An autopsy subsequently found no traumatic cause of death or evidence that another person was involved.
During the trial, Naruto maintained that the streams were staged entertainment, stating that the group did not see the harm in their actions. Safine stated in court that he was not proud of what he had done.
Legal scrutiny for members of the Lokal streaming collective continues. French authorities have opened a separate investigation into ongoing violence during subsequent broadcasts, alongside inquiries into unreported earnings and tax compliance, which led to the seizure of computer equipment from the group's streaming location.
