Malik Ambersley, the creator widely known as NPC Miles Morales or Leaks World, has shared an emotional response after failing to secure a spot in Kai Cenat’s Streamer University 2026. Following the reveal of the official roster on July 6, Ambersley took to X to apologize to his supporters and address his future as a content creator.
“I just want to say bro, I’m sorry bro,” Ambersley said in a video post. “Everybody who thought I would get in, I appreciate y’all bro. I love y’all bro. We didn’t make it in, but we finna just go use this sh*t as motivation.” While he congratulated those who were selected, expressing confidence that the event will “go crazy,” the rejection appeared to highlight his ongoing internal struggle regarding his online persona.
The Conflict Between Gimmick and Identity
Ambersley’s rise to fame was built on his viral NPC routine, where he would dress as Miles Morales and repeat scripted responses to viewer interactions. While this gimmick brought him significant attention, he has previously expressed a desire to move away from the character and be known for his own personality. His reaction to the Streamer University snub brought these frustrations back to the surface.
“I know I be back and forth with this whole ‘I wanna be me’ sh*t,” he admitted. “But it’s like, real sh*t bro, I know I don’t get paid to be me, bro. I know that Spider-Man sh*t pays.”
The creator noted that he feels pressured to maintain the character to ensure his financial stability, despite his desire to pivot to more authentic content. Ambersley, who previously served as a reliable presence during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 and 3 events by managing donations and keeping streams active, stated that he plans to increase his output across platforms. He intends to focus heavily on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram to ensure his career continues to grow.
Moving Forward
Ambersley apologized to his audience for abruptly ending his own stream after the roster reveal, explaining that he simply “needed a moment” to process the news. Looking ahead, he suggested that his approach to content creation is about to shift.
“I’m finna be moving mad different, bro,” he added. For now, the creator appears focused on using the rejection as a catalyst to diversify his brand and move beyond the constraints of the character that made him a viral sensation.
