Virtus.pro has officially disbanded its Dota 2 roster following the conclusion of The International 2026. The move comes after a season that the organization described as failing to meet its goals, marking the third consecutive year the club has missed out on competing at Valve’s premier annual tournament.
Roster Changes and Season Performance
The decision affects the entire active lineup, including coach Kanishka “BuLba” Sosale and players Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop, Jonáš “SaberLight” Volek, Kirill “Hellscream” Lagutik, and captain Tal “Fly” Aizik.
This roster was assembled in September 2025 with the intent of reaching the highest tier of international play. However, the squad struggled to find consistency, with a seventh-eighth place finish at DreamLeague Season 27 serving as their season highlight. Their campaign ultimately stalled during the TI 2026 European qualifiers, where they were eliminated following losses to TEAM VISION and HULIGANI.
Future Outlook
While the current lineup has been released, Virtus.pro stated that it intends to remain active in Dota 2, a title the organization has competed in since 2012.
