After a nine-month hiatus from regular broadcasting, Kai Cenat has confirmed his return to live content. The streamer announced that he will be back on July 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST, marking the occasion with a significant technical milestone: his first-ever simulcast across both Twitch and YouTube.
The broadcast will be hosted simultaneously on his Twitch channel, KaiCenat, and his YouTube channel, KaiCenatLive. The primary focus of the return stream is the official reveal of the selected students and professors for the upcoming 2026 session of Streamer University.
A Return to the AMP House
Cenat stepped back from his regular streaming schedule in October 2025, citing a need to decompress after years of consistent content creation. While he has made brief, sporadic appearances since then, the July 6 event represents his first full-scale return to the platform. To signal his comeback, Cenat shared an Instagram story confirming he is back in his streaming setup at the AMP house.
The road to this announcement has been marked by a high level of fan engagement. During the audition process for Streamer University 2, hopeful creators gathered in New York City, with many camping out overnight in hopes of securing a spot. The project, which Cenat has framed as a creative endeavor, saw such high demand that he eventually had to urge applicants to stay home after scheduled Atlanta venues backed out of hosting the auditions.
Bridging the Platform Gap
The decision to utilize a dual-platform approach follows a period where Cenat shifted much of his focus to YouTube. During his time away from live streaming, he maintained a presence through video journals on his secondary channel, "Kai’s Mind," which provided a more personal look at his life, fashion interests, and his focus on physical and mental health.
Addressing the upcoming roster reveal, the Streamer University social media team noted that the selection process was highly competitive. "Whether your name is revealed or not, we appreciate everyone who showed interest and supported this opportunity," the team stated. "If you aren’t selected, remember that this does not define your talent, your potential, or your future."
For fans awaiting his return, Cenat kept his message simple via X, stating, "Missed yall" and "Turn me up yall it’s time."
