In The Division Resurgence, leveling up your Specialization is essential for unlocking Talent Nodes. Because progress is tied to earning Specialization XP (SXP) and collecting SHD Tech Caches, you need a consistent rotation to maximize your build potential.

The Most Efficient Leveling Path

  1. Complete Daily Quests: Prioritize your four daily quests, which award 1,820 SXP each. If the objectives aren't to your liking, use the free refresh to reroll them.
  2. Clear Daily World Events: Participate in world events, specifically the Supply Run (marked by a briefcase icon). Each event grants 800 SXP and is your primary source for SHD Tech Caches. Note that there is a daily cap of 10 events for SXP rewards.
  3. Replay Main Missions: Use the Mission Instances tab (grey markers) to replay missions. Clearing a mission on Normal difficulty awards 2,140 SXP. Solo play is often faster than waiting for matchmaking.
  4. Finish Weekly Milestones: Weekly objectives grant 2,400 SXP and a reward package. Focus on playing Dark Zone, Conflict, and replaying main missions to meet these goals.

Understanding Specialization Progress

Every Specialization features its own Talent Tree. You can earn up to 30 Talent Points by simply leveling up the Specialization through SXP-earning activities. Any remaining points required to fully optimize your build must be sourced from SHD Tech Caches, which drop during world events like the Supply Run.

It is important to remember that SXP is not awarded during your first run of a main mission; always use the Mission Instances feature to ensure you are earning progress toward your next level. While you may be tempted to switch between different Focuses, keep in mind that your Specialization level and earned Talent Points are shared across all Focuses within that specialization.
