Ghost Recon Wildlands Receives Next-Gen Update and Insider Program

Ubisoft has released the Last Rites update for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, marking the franchise's 25th anniversary. The update is available now across all platforms and introduces a new standalone mission featuring the cult leader La Llorona.

Update Availability: Live as of August 6, 2026.
Next-Gen Enhancements: 60 FPS support, improved lighting, shadows, distance rendering, and 4K resolution targeting on current-gen consoles and PC.
New Content: Last Rites mission, return of the Predator event, and expanded customization for UI, weather, time of day, and team composition.
Free Access: Wildlands and Breakpoint are free to play from August 6 through August 10. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is free on PC via Ubisoft Connect until August 13.

Ghost Recon Insider Program

In addition to the Wildlands update, Ubisoft has launched the Ghost Recon Insider Program. Players can register at the official website to potentially assist in the development of the next game in the series. Participation requires logging in with platform credentials and completing a survey regarding gaming history and series experience.

Upcoming Breakpoint Content

Ubisoft also announced that a 25th Anniversary Bundle for Ghost Recon Breakpoint is scheduled for release in September. The bundle will include the M4A1 Tactical Brown, the Wolf Enhanced Helmet, and the Opheis Mk.II Hunter at no additional cost.
