The Ever-Moving City
Set in a world overrun by an endless army of darkness, the game tasks players with protecting a rolling fortress that must constantly push forward toward the Arch/Ark. Players take on the role of a disposable multi-tasking hero known as the peon, defending the mobile settlement from ancient horrors approaching from all directions.
Fortify, Forage, and Fight
The core gameplay loop balances constant enemy pressure across three distinct actions:
- Fortify: Purchase and strategically place new districts, archery outposts, necromancer towers, and fire-breathing dragons to repel attackers.
- Forage: Gather wood, stone, and gold while managing risk and reward by straying from the beaten path for rarer resources.
- Fight: Level up the peon, utilize player progression, and handle special weaponry to survive endless monster waves until the city reaches its destination.
Runs only end when the city itself is destroyed, allowing players to jump back into the fight even if the peon falls.
