Microsoft is expanding its cloud gaming reach to millions of new living rooms, rolling out the official Xbox app to VIDAA OS-powered Smart TVs released between 2024 and 2026, including supported Hisense models.
Quick Facts
- Platforms: VIDAA OS Smart TVs and supported Hisense models running VIDAA OS 9.6 or higher.
- Access Method: Xbox Game Pass subscription (Ultimate, Premium, or Essential) via cloud streaming.
- Required Hardware: A compatible Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Rollout Timing: Gradual rollout currently underway, expanding over time as updates reach additional devices and regions.
How the Xbox App Works on VIDAA TVs
With a compatible TV and controller, players can stream hundreds of titles directly from the Game Pass catalog—such as Forza Horizon 6 and Halo: Campaign Evolved—without needing dedicated gaming hardware. Subscribers can also stream supported games they already own outside of the Game Pass library. Player progress moves across devices, allowing you to pick up where you left off on other supported hardware.
How to Get the Xbox App on Your TV
To access the app, your TV must be updated to VIDAA OS 9.6, though availability of the update may vary by model at launch. Once updated, the Xbox app will appear on the Home page or in the "Games" section of the menu bar. From there, users simply sign into an Xbox account, connect a compatible controller, and choose a game to start playing.
