Surviving the Bermuda Triangle
In Wreck Runners, players step into the roles of employees for the Trustwell Corporation. Your mission is to operate the ORCA—a mobile base capable of traversing land, sea, and air—to recover cargo from abandoned ships and haunted facilities. The game centers on a delicate balance between greed and survival; the longer you remain in the field to secure high-value salvage, the more you risk succumbing to the thick, supernatural fog and the creatures lurking within it.
Physics-Based Teamwork
While the game accommodates solo play, it is designed with cooperative mechanics in mind. Up to four players must coordinate to move, lift, and transport heavy, oversized cargo back to the safety of the ORCA. Teamwork is essential, as players must contend with shifting weather patterns and hostile threats that can complicate the extraction process.
To assist with these tasks, players have access to the "Scrapjack" tool. It allows for grappling cargo, though it can also be used to interact with teammates, adding a layer of unpredictable chaos to your salvage missions.
Upgrading for Deeper Exploration
Success in the Bermuda Triangle allows players to invest their recovered loot into meaningful upgrades. You can enhance your tools, customize your squad, or improve the ORCA itself. These upgrades are necessary to venture further into the fog and uncover the deeper secrets hidden beneath the surface of the region. With dynamic weather and escalating threats, the developers promise that no two expeditions will unfold exactly the same way.
