Halo Studios has released a new update for Halo: Campaign Evolved, now available on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The patch, which weighs in at 8GB, addresses several technical issues and introduces highly-requested visual customization options.

Key Improvements and Fixes

The update focuses on stability and gameplay consistency across the campaign. The following five changes are the primary highlights:

  • Visual Settings: Players can now disable Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain in the settings menu.
  • Progression Fixes: Adjustments to Sgt. Johnson have been made to prevent scenarios where mission progress becomes blocked.
  • Enemy AI: Jackals now stagger more reliably when hit in their hands or feet.
  • Magnified Skull: Marines and Flood Marines will now correctly fire their Assault Rifles when this skull is active.
  • General Stability: The patch includes broad stability improvements across multiple platforms.

Important Note for Current Runs

Players should be aware that installing this update will invalidate any mid-mission save progress. To avoid needing to restart or replay sections of the game, it is recommended that you complete your current mission before downloading the patch.

New Cosmetic Content

Alongside the technical fixes, Halo Studios has introduced the "Recompilation" armor style for Master Chief. This electric blue skin is available for players to redeem now via the Halo Waypoint website.
