The second and final weekend for the Gears of War: E-Day beta is nearing its conclusion. Players have until August 17th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST to experience the current multiplayer suite before the servers go offline.

Beta Updates and Player Feedback

Between the first and second weekends of the beta, The Coalition implemented 10 improvements to the game, resulting in a more refined experience for the final days of testing. The current build focuses heavily on Horde Siege alongside standard 4v4 Versus gameplay.

Community polling indicates a largely positive reception to this slice of the upcoming 2026 title:

  • General Impressions: 59% of voters found the beta amazing, while 23% described it as good.
  • Horde Siege: 63% of participants reported loving the mode.
  • Versus Mode: 64% of users expressed high satisfaction with the competitive gameplay.

While this multiplayer test provides a look at the game's mechanics, the single-player campaign has not been featured in the beta. With the release scheduled for this October, 67% of surveyed players indicated they are highly anticipating the final launch.
