Xbox has announced two new official wireless controllers themed around the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day. The lineup includes a standard retail edition available for pre-order today and a customizable option arriving next month through Xbox Design Lab.

Main Gears of War: E-Day Controller Design
The standard limited edition controller takes visual cues from the E-holes that scar the world of Sera. It features 3D molded, laser-etched cracked asphalt detailing with red glowing cracks that reveal a Crimson Omen beneath the surface.
Additional design touches include blacked-out ABXY buttons with a transparent red X button, matching red triggers, a transparent D-pad, and textured grips. A dark silver metallic COG tag is affixed to the battery door, carrying the series motto "Never Fight Alone."
Xbox Design Lab Customization Option
The second option is the Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition with Xbox Design Lab, launching on September 30, 2026. This version features a custom top case designed by renowned heavy metal illustrator Luke Preece, showcasing a skull perched atop crossed Lancers surrounded by battle-worn details from the conflict between the COG and the Locust Horde.
Players using the Design Lab service can personalize their controllers further with optional upgrades, including metallic triggers and D-pads, rubberized side and back grips, and custom text engravings.
Gears of War: E-Day is developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios for Xbox Series X|S, scheduled for release on October 6, 2026.
