The latest weekly update for Unknown on PC introduces two highly requested features: full key rebinding and a new free camera mode. These additions aim to improve accessibility and provide players with more creative control over their park designs.
New Features and Accessibility
Players using keyboard and mouse can now map controls to their preference by visiting Settings > Controls. Additionally, the new free camera mode is triggered by pressing F1. This mode allows players to pilot a drone throughout their park to capture screenshots from any angle.
Quality of Life and Bug Fixes
Beyond the new features, the update addresses several technical issues and gameplay balances:
- Technical Fixes: Resolved a painting issue in the Aztec slide, corrected a visual bug with the tablet's ban button, and fixed a hole in the beach wall.
- Gameplay Adjustments: The Golden Hammer now fixes objects in a single hit. Guests will now ragdoll with a low probability when jumping from boards, and players will no longer be fined if these jumps result in injury.
- Multiplayer: Hosts can now configure multiplayer settings during lobby creation, including an option to restrict the use of research points.
- Visuals: Storms feature improved lightning effects, and the UI can be toggled off entirely by pressing the H key.
The developers have also implemented limits on the number of spawnable items, such as ducks, flyers, and posters, to improve game performance. Players are encouraged to report additional feedback or bugs through the official Steam community hub or Discord.
