Star Wars Zero Company is scheduled to launch on PC on August 27, 2026. Developed by Bit Reactor, the upcoming XCOM-style tactics RPG puts players in control of a Clone Wars-era roughneck named Hawks, leading a squad of unconventional professionals against an enigmatic threat across 150 planets.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: August 27, 2026
  • Platform: PC
  • Developer: Bit Reactor
  • Campaign Length: 30–40 hours

Jedi Restrictions and Astromech Squads

Among the roster of unconventional professionals is Tel-Rea, a Jedi Padawan who utilizes dual lightsabers and Force Pushing abilities. Players only receive one Jedi Padawan during the campaign, and she is fully permakillable without any option to train custom replacements. For players seeking alternative squad dynamics, developer Bit Reactor confirms that fielding an entire squad of four astromech droids is entirely possible.

The game features 12 total classes, which includes four exotic classes like the Jedi Padawan. While developers provide pre-written characters, players can also craft custom squad members. Permadeath can be disabled in the settings for players who prefer a less punishing experience.

Campaign Structure and Combat Design

The 30-40 hour campaign is a linear experience featuring no plot branching, no New Game+, no modding support, and no formalised character romances. Missions are divided between standard operations—quickfire activities featuring choose-your-own-adventure style storytelling—and primary missions that must be completed before they expire.

Combat takes place across 150 planets where squads utilize a shared Advantage resource pool to execute tide-turning special abilities. Bit Reactor has added specific mission types like sabotage and VIP rescue designed to discourage the traditional overwatch-crawl strategy common in tactical role-playing games.
