A new server-side online update for Mistfall Hunter is now live on PC via Steam, targeting a specific combat bug alongside preparations for upcoming features and quality-of-life additions.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC (Steam)
- Patch Type: Server-side online update
- Combat Fix: Resolved an issue with canceling Polearm and Shield charges triggering the Focused affix speed bonus.
- Next Milestone: Client update next week introducing Soul Harvest and Season Tasks.
Combat Adjustments and Server Stability
The primary gameplay fix in this update targets the Polearm and Shield weapon combination. Developers rolled out a fix for an issue where canceling a charge would abnormally trigger the movement speed bonus from the Focused affix.
Meanwhile, the team issued a progress update regarding intermittent server lag reported by players. Because in-stage environments feature complex architecture, lag stems from multiple distinct sources. Developers stated that a single blanket fix may not be possible, but performance issues should gradually taper off with each successive update as cases are resolved individually.
Moderation and Anti-Cheat Updates
Community moderation efforts are also scaling up. The studio has banned nearly 30 advertising accounts from chat channels for violating rules. To give players more control, a dedicated Block feature will launch in next week's update, allowing users to hide messages from blocked accounts entirely.
For competitive integrity, developers are continuing to address cheating and illegal teaming. Players encountering suspected rulebreakers are encouraged to use the in-game reporting tool. Upcoming changes will introduce feedback emails triggered by successful reports so players stay informed on penalties applied to offenders.
What's Next for Gyldhunters
Looking ahead to next week, a client update is scheduled to officially launch Soul Harvest and open up Season Tasks. That patch will also bundle another batch of bug fixes aimed at improving overall version stability.
