Developer Expression Games has detailed its post-launch plans for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam following the release of update 1.2, which brings over 500 fixes to the PC tactical multiplayer shooter. A newly published update roadmap outlines upcoming content drops centered on community requests, including heavily requested firearms, licensed vehicles, maps, and clan organization tools.

Quick Facts

  • Current Update: Update 1.2 is out now on PC with over 500 fixes focused on stability and optimization.
  • Update 1.5 (September): Adds the US M14 rifle, the NVA Chinese-produced Type 56 SKS rifle, and the licensed Bell UH-1 Iroquois 'Huey' helicopter.
  • Update 2.0: Introduces the Khe Sanh map, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) faction, and three new weapons (L1A1 SLR, F1 SMG, and L16A1 mortar).
  • Update 3.0: Adds the Rung Sat map, armored personnel carriers (APCs), Green Berets and Navy Seals player models, and four additional weapons (Stoner 63, scoped M14, MAT-49 SMG, and SVD Dragunov).

Helicopters and Synchronized Music

Update 1.5 brings the iconic Bell UH-1 Iroquois to the skies over the multiplayer game. To capture the atmosphere of Vietnam War cinema, the Huey features an on-board radio audible to passengers and nearby players. Music will play synchronously across nearby choppers using a curated era-appropriate soundtrack, though players can opt out of hearing the music if they choose, providing an easy option for content creators and streamers.

Community Battalions and Ongoing Fixes

Alongside major content updates, Expression Games is building a 'Battalions' system designed to help clans and organized groups form persistent communities. The first version will let players track statistics, progress together, unlock content, and queue into servers alongside battalion members.

The studio emphasizes that performance optimization, stability fixes, and quality-of-life improvements remain high priorities alongside the roadmap's major content additions.
