Gameplay and Mechanics

Set in an alternative 1982, players use a trusty mop, a bucket, and problem-solving skills to erase evidence of corporate wrongdoing across a series of handcrafted, Sokoban-style puzzles. Each level introduces new mechanics and environmental hazards. Walking through blood leaves a trail of footprints that must be cleaned, vats of acid serve as disposal terminals for remains, and electrical switches and doors require rewiring using conductive fluid found in the environment.

Key Features

Hazard Pay includes over 70 compact handcrafted levels, a bleak pixel-art aesthetic, and an unfolding dystopian narrative. The game also features an in-game step-counter with global and friends leaderboards.
